Spirit River and Fairview are the next Peace region communities to be visited by Alberta Health Servicess’ mobile mammography service.
The trailer will be in Spirit River from Tuesday until the 25th and in Fairview from July 28th to August 6th.
Mammograms have been proven to be the most effective way to detect breast cancer, and having the mobile unit means women aged 50 to 74 can have access in remote northern communities.
