A detour around a collision scene west of Falher may be set up until 5:00 p.m. this afternoon. Vehicles are being rerouted at Range Road 233 and Range Road 240.
On Thursday, July 28th, an RCMP patrol SUV and a semi-tanker truck collided on Highway 49 and Range Road 234. The tank truck filled of butane ended up on its side, but the semi driver was not injured.
The officer was taken to hospital by STARS and he remains in stable condition.
Crews are still working on clearing the tanker off the road. The investigation into what happened is underway with a collision analyst.
