There will be over $140,000 in purse money given out at Derby Day this Sunday. Included in that money, $50,000 for the Alberta Derby. The Grande Prairie Derby, Adequan Derby Challenge and Peace Country Futurity are posted for the day.
There are a few local horses on the docket for each race. Riley Rycroft’s Big Kaz will be taking on the Alberta Derby. Trained by Tim Rycroft, Saveitforarainyday will also be running that race.
Tim Rycroft has trained a few other horses for the races this weekend including Chisum for the Peace Country Futurity and Misty Do It for the Grande Prairie Derby.
