Man charged after fleeing from police

RCMP and the Crime Reduction Unit have arrested a Grande Prairie man after he sped away from police. On July 6th, officers tried to pull over a vehicle with a man in it. He then left at high speeds and police didn’t follow due to safety concerns.

On July 7th, officers found the same man parked in the Patterson area of the city. They arrested him and during their investigation, they found an imitation handgun, 37 grams of Crystal Meth, 12 grams of Cocaine and under 1 gram of Heroine.

Tyler Meagher is facing multiple charges including dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and possession of property obtained by crime. He will appear in court on July 26th, 2017.
