Air quality statement continues for Grande Prairie

The special air quality statement continues today for the Grande Prairie and Beaverlodge areas. Due to smoke blowing in from the BC wildfires, Environment Canada says people could experience shortness of breath, throat irritation, headaches and coughing. If you do have major health concerns, you can call 811.

Although the Air Quality Health Index has been hovering in the moderate range and sometimes at high this week, it is forecast in the low range at 3 on the index today. It is set to go down to 2 on the scale overnight.
