Diesel spill at Husky truck stop in Clairmont

Approximately 600 litres of diesel has been spilled at the Husky truck stop in Clairmont.

RCMP, County firefighters and Alberta Environment are on the scene of the leak, which has spread from a fuel pump that was hit by an oilfield transport truck.

The area was evacuated around 8:20 a.m. and local contractors are working to clean up the spill.

The area will be closed off until work is complete, which likely won’t be until mid-afternoon.
