First trial for men accused in major drug bust concludes

The trial for two of the men facing possession and trafficking charges related to a major drug bust in Grande Prairie last April wrapped up last week.

32 year old Scott McKay plead guilty to possession of stolen property and possession of substance and was sentenced to his time served of three months.

33 year old Marlon Tabucau had the charges against him dropped.

Mahasin Hadija and Paul Elliott were also part of the ALERT investigation, which turned up $233,000 worth of cocaine and meth, as well as three guns, and will stand trial in April.
