Stanley Cup parade this Sunday in Sexsmith

The Stanley Cup and hometown boy Carter Rowney are set to be in Sexsmith this Sunday. The forward gets to show off the cup in his hometown after the Pittsburgh Penguins won the season. The celebrations will include an opportunity for photos with the cup and Rowney as well as a parade.

The Town of Sexsmith is hoping people can stay away from parking on the parade route after 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 16th. The parade will start at the Sexsmith arena go down 99th Avenue to 100th Street. From north on 100th Street, it will travel to 100th Avenue, east on 100th Avenue to 93rd Street and south back to the arena.

The town approved $2,000 for the celebration. It will kick off at 4:30 p.m. in that town.
