Three arrested in Whitecourt drug bust

RCMP have turned up a large amount of illegal drugs at a home in Whitecourt. Officers executed a search warrant on July 8th, seizing 191 grams of marijuana shatter, 93 grams of crack cocaine, 26 grams of crystal meth and 18 grams of fentanyl, along with a variety of other drugs.

With the help of Police Dog Services, mounties also found a large amount of Canadian cash, a stolen, loaded gun and a stolen motorcycle at the home on Baly Road. Two men and a woman from Whitecourt were arrested at the scene and are facing criminal charges.

26 year old Sasha Stimson, 22 year old Derek Primeau, and 19 year old Kyle Macmilan remain in custody and will make their first appearances at Whitecourt Provincial Court on Tuesday, July 11th. Stimson was previously charged as part of an investigation into drug trafficking in Whitecourt.

RCMP say their investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact the detachment or Crime Stoppers.
