Oilers alumni passes away at 59 years old

Oilers Alumni Dave Semenko has passed away after a short battle with cancer. Earlier this month, He was in Grande Prairie signing autographs at the Eastlink Centre for the Edmonton Oilers Community Kick off.

He was a two time Stanley Cup champion with the Oilers in the early 1980’s. The franchise called Semenko a “fierce competitor and a loyal teammate”.

Semenko was 59 years old.
