Grande Prairie armed robberies may be connected

Police believe two robberies in the last two and a half weeks may be connected.

Back on June 29th, a male held up a convenience store with a firearm at just after 2:35 a.m., making off with cash.

On July 6, at almost exactly the same time in the morning, a man holding a firearm demanding money from the clerk at a convenience store on 76th Ave and Resources Road.

In both cases the suspect was described as having curly hair, his face covered, and wearing gloves.

In the second case, he was also described as Caucasian, six feet tall with blue eyes.

The gun used in both robberies has been found by police.

Anyone with information is asked to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
