Ombudsman investigators fielding concerns in Grande Prairie, Peace River

If you feel you’ve been treated unfairly by someone involved in the provincial government, you can discuss it with an official this week. Alberta Ombudsman investigators will be in Grande Prairie and Peace River Wednesday and Thursday.

They’ll be speaking with residents about the role of their office, and taking individual consultations to handle concerns. The presentation in Grande Prairie will run from 9 to 10 a.m. on June 21st at the provincial building, followed by appointments from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Investigators will then be in Peace River at the town hall from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the 22nd with a presentation from 9 to 10 a.m.

The Alberta Ombudsman responds to complaints of unfair treatment by provincial government authorities and designated professional organizations. That includes any government-run department, agency, board, or commission, as well as the Alberta Health Services patient concerns resolution process.
