Wembley bust turns up $50,000 in drugs

Two people from Wembley are facing a number of drug and weapons charges following a bust in that community last week.

Following a seven month long investigation, the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team seized two tactical assault rifles, three handguns, two long guns, two tasers, and four replica handguns.

The also came across $50,000 worth of drugs including cocaine, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, oxycodone pills, mushrooms, marijuana, and $20,000 worth of Fentanyl pills.

$5685 in cash was recovered as well.

35 year old Jerrid Rychard and 33 year old Shylo Sowan were both arrested during the bust on June 4.
