Highway 43 twinning completion expected this fall

The last stretch of Highway 43 to be twinned between Valleyview and Grande Prairie is expected to be finished this fall.

The final $78 million dollar piece of the project spans 20 kilometres through the Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation.

Once it is finished, there will be an uninterrupted stretch of four lane highway running all the way from Grande Prairie to the U.S. border.

In anticipation for the end of the roadwork, the province is asking Albertans to share stories, photos, and memories of Highway 43 with them, which will be shared on social media throughout the summer.
