Starting tonight, crews will be doin work on one of the busiest stretches of roads in Grande Prairie. They’ll be grinding off the top layer of pavement along 116th Street and replacing it, which the city says helps extend the life of the road.
The section from 97th Avenue to north of 104th Avenue near Westgate and Costco will be down to one lane in each direction with flaggers. The speed limit will be down to 30 kilometres an hour.
Construction is expected to happen between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. but there could be some exceptions. Drivers are asked to use caution and watch for workers.
