The County has finalized its list of Operating Assistance Grant recipients for 2014. A total of 51 non profit and volunteer groups will share in over 313 thousand dollars. That money will be used in a variety of areas, ranging from facility upgrades and covering utility costs, to funding specific programs such as learn to skate programs in Clairmont and Beaverlodge, and swimming programs in Sexsmith and Teepee Creek. The County is also setting aside over 430 thousand dollars to help cover utility costs at 26 sports and cultural facilities, such as swimming pools, community halls, skating rinks and curling clubs.
