More downtown road closures as construction continues

As summer moves along, so does the construction work downtown. The Downtown Rehabilitation and Streetscapes project continues with a closure on 101st Street starting on Monday, June 12th. The stretch of road from 99th Avenue to 100th Avenue will be under construction. There will be some pedestrian access.

Sidewalks are open to foot traffic on the east side of 100th Ave. during the work.

On Thursday, June 15th, work will continue on 101st Avenue between 100th Street and 101st Street. This section of road will close down to traffic.

All downtown businesses remain open during construction.

Underground infrastructure improvements are being done with sanitary, storm and water facilities included. There are also upgrades being made above ground. This includes intersections, curbs and gutters, and sidewalk. There is also work being done to make the streets more appeasing to the eye with new surfacing, trees, benches, and lights in the works.
