Two Grande Prairie families that are new to Canada will be receiving a helping hand. A program to support 150 new Canadian families across Western Canada has been launched by the company London Drugs. It is called #Welcoming150.
The company has partnered with the Grande Prairie Centre for Newcomers for the project. Hygiene products, kitchenware, food, family needs, cleaning supplies and linens are all needed. Until July 1st, 2017, donations can be made at the store in the city. Before Canada Day, the items will be delivered to the local families.
There will be 48 other families across Western Canada that are helped through the campaign.
