There were no injuries reported after a duplex fire in South Patterson in Grande Prairie on Monday night. After 11:00 p.m., the Grande Prairie Fire Department was called to the home.
One person was home at the time but they were able to get out when a neighbour noticed the flames. The fire looked to start at the front deck, went up the home and into the attic space.
Crews were able to keep the flames mostly on the one side of the duplex.
Damage is estimated at around $230,000. An investigation is set to be complete Tuesday.
