UPDATE: Downtown railway crossing clear after semi crash

UPDATE: 100th Street is now clear but CN Rail crews have removed the overhanging lights in the north bound lanes. There is only the railway crossing light pole left.

Drivers are asked to be careful when crossing the tracks. There could also be delays next week as CN replaces the damaged lights.

The northbound lanes of 100th Street at 97th Avenue have been blocked by a semi truck hauling a mobile building. It hit the railway light standard and is stopped on the tracks.

RCMP have that side of the road blocked off and drivers are being detoured using 97 Avenue. The south bound lanes aren’t affected.

CN Rail employees are working to clear the tracks but it’s expected to take several hours.
