Clairmont students ask council to consider transit service for community

Students from the Grade 7 class at Clairmont Community School made a special presentation to County Council today, on the need for public transit in the community.  According to student Ashton Carter, access to public transportation would benefit many residents in the hamlet.

“We have seen the need for public transportation for youth and the elderly to go to and from Grande Prairie, and the Sportsplex.”

The presentation was part of a project for their Language Arts class.  But County Community Services Director Arlen Miller says several departments have been exploring some possible transit plans over the past few months.
