No injuries have been reported after a fire broke out in an O’Brien Lake home Sunday evening. The Grande Prairie Fire Department was called to the house at the corner of 67 Avenue and 109 Street just before 8 p.m.
Platoon Chief Ben Sergeant say people home at the time smelled smoke and found flames on the outside of their house creeping into the attic. Everyone made it out safely.
Firefighters were able to stop the blaze from spreading to neighbouring houses, but the home itself was extensively damaged. Some things from inside were salvaged and there is some heat damage to a house next door.
