A home in the Country Estates trailer park was destroyed by fire early Friday morning. The Grande Prairie Fire Department responded around 3:30 a.m. the front of a mobile home and its addition already engulfed in flames. It was brought under control quickly, but two neighbouring homes suffered some exterior heat damage.
Platoon Chief Ben Sergeant says one person in the home at the time had to be taken to hospital for smoke inhalation. An update on their condition is not yet available.
Grande Prairie RCMP have been called in to help investigate.
