Chautauqua Day hits Sexsmith tomorrow for a full day of fun

Tomorrow is the 27th Annual Chautauqua Day Summer Carnival in Sexsmith.

Organizer Nell Martell says they have a full day of entertainment planned.

“Breakfast starts at 9 at the Civic Centre. There are football games happening, the parade starts at noon and it goes around Sexsmith. From 12-4 there’s rides and food provided by local organizations all along main street. We’re also having the grand opening of our graffiti wall at 3 o’clock over by the skate park.”

Martell says there will also be live music from local band Travis Fowler and the Nashville offensive, along with a number of band’s they are mentoring.

The Privateers will also be playing at the Alamo at 10 pm.

Martell says Chatauqua Day is a fun way to bring the community together.

“It’s a chance for everybody to get out, meet their neighbors, have some fun, build good feeling. It’s just a great little carnival, it’s great.”

 

Anyone wanting to enjoy Chautauqua Day can head out to Main Street Sexsmith tomorrow.
