Drillers kick off new season tomorrow night

Another Alberta Football League season kicks off tomorrow with the Grande Prairie Drillers hosting Lloydminster. This will mark Nathan Aldred’s first full season as head coach of the Drillers. Offensive lineman Clint Rowney says Aldred stepped into the position late last season, after being forced to retire from playing due to injuries.
“The guys are quite familiar with what he can bring to the table and stuff and a lot of them are buying into what he is putting in for plays for practices and that.”
The Drillers are looking to improve on last year’s 2-4 season. Game time tomorrow night at Legion Field is 7pm.
