Dunvegan bridge down to one lane for repair work

The Highway 2 bridge near Dunvegan is down to one lane. The province explains that while doing regular maintenance to the bridge over the Peace River this spring, workers found additional work is needed to fix some of its steel parts.

Traffic can now use a single, alternating lane to go across with signals in place. The speed limit has been reduced to 50 kilometres an hour.

The Ministry of Transportation says it’s expected they’ll need a month to do the repairs. They still have the slow climbing lane south of the bridge closed due to slide activity.
