With a goal to raise $45,000, the Grande Prairie chapter of the MS Walk will be hitting the Muskoseepi Park trails this weekend. The fundraiser is set for Saturday May 13th to raise money for research into Multiple Sclerosis. So far, 161 people will be walking in support of someone with the disease.
Multiple Sclerosis is an autoimmune disease of the central nervous system with most people diagnosed between the ages of 15 and 40. Canada has the highest diagnosis of MS in the world with one in 340 who have it.
Donations are being accepted through the MS Society of Canada website.
