Mighty Peace Day to take over Revolution Place

The second Mighty Peace Day is back in Grande Prairie bringing in more kids than the last. It will be held at Revolution Place tomorrow. Co-founder Tegwyn Curtis explains that the motivational youth event started with inspiration from We Day events she had attended. She was hoping to bring a mini-We Day for the kids of Northern Alberta. The first Mighty Peace Day was held in 2015.

Tyler Shaw is headlining the event with other musical guests like Tenille and the James Morrison Band hitting the stage. Inspirational speakers will also be presenting. The day is held for grade six through twelve in hopes to inspire them to become involved in their community.

The event runs 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Three thousand children are expected at the event.

Parking restrictions will be on around Revolution Place during the event. There will be no public parking in the lots to the west, east and south for the day. There will be lots of traffic around the venue as well.
