High school students from across the Alberta Peace are in Fairview this week, taking part in the 13th annual North West Regional Skills Canada Competition.
Held at GPRC’s campus, trades and technology wizzes will be competing in areas like hairstyling, auto service, fashion technology, and cabinet making.
The best of the bunch will advance to the provincial competition next month, and then gold winners from there will make the trip to nationals in Winnipeg. Skills Canada says the goal of the event is to increase the awareness of trades and technology related careers.
