No injuries in morning fire

The Grande Prairie Fire Department is now investigating a blaze that broke out on the second floor of a Crystal Heights area home this morning. Crews were called to the house on 107A Avenue just before 7 a.m.

When they got there, they found smoke and fire coming out of the upper level of the two-storey home. They were able to bring the fire under control within about 40 minutes.

Significant damage was done to the home, and a neighbour suffered some heat damage as well. The fire department says no one was home when they arrived and no injuries have been reported.
