Peace Region school gets CTS improvement grant

Peace River High School is one of four high schools in the province to be awarded a 10 thousand dollar grant from TransCanada and Skills Alberta Canada. The money will be used to purchase a CNC plasma arc cutting table and software, to be used by the welding and fabrication program at the school. It is the same as equipment used by professionals to design, layout, set up and produce manufactured parts like custom bumpers or signs. The equipment is expected to be in place by the start of the 2014-15 school year.
