High Prairie RCMP arrest six people in drug bust

High Prairie RCMP have arrested six people after a drug bust on a reserve. Police and Lakeshore Regional Police Service did a search warrant on Sucker Creek First Nation on April 15th, 2017. Marijuana, cocaine packaged for sale, digital scale and packaging materials were seized. There was also ammunition, a defensive baton and other drug paraphernalia taken during the search.

Three people from High Prairie, a man from Whitecourt and two others from Sucker Creek First Nation have been arrested. All six are facing multiple drug possession charges and weapons charges.

The man from Whitecourt will be in High Prairie Court on June 19th. The other five will appear in court on May 29th.
