Just over $6,000 will be going into Muscular Dystrophy Canada after some local firefighters rounded up the money. The Grande Prairie Firefighters Charitable Foundation brought together the cash through their Buck for Luck campaign. They were taking donations at local businesses as well as selling shamrock tattoos. There was $6,013 raised and all of the money will be used to find better treatment for Muscular Dystrophy and testing for the genetic disease.
The group will raising more money for the cause at the end of the month. On April 28th to the 30th, the firefighters will be camped out on top of Better Than Fred’s. They have a goal of raising $10,000 with this rooftop sit.
