Community input wanted for county growth plan

The county of Grande Prairie is coming up with a long term plan for growth and is looking for your two cents.

The local government will be holding input sessions for their Growth and Economic Development strategy at different places throughout the county between the 25th and 27th. Planning & Development Services Director Nick Lapp says it’s important they get as many people as possible to come out as this plan will have a direct effect on every resident for the next fifty years.

Each presentation will be held at 6:00 pm. The county will be at the Grande Prairie Alliance Church on the 25th, the Teepee Creek Hall on the 26th and the Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum on the 27th.

The plan will aim for a sustainable economic environment in the county as well as prepare the area for growth. The final draft of the strategy is set to be complete by December 2017.
