New interim coach for Wolves Men’s Basketball team

The Grande Prairie Regional College’s Men’s Basketball team is welcoming a new head coach but only in the interim. Current Wolves Coach Thomas Slifka has announced he will be taking a year off for personal reasons. In the mean time, Lloyd will step into his place.

Lloyd has been the lead assistant coach for the team for the last three years and has been with the Wolves Basketball program for four. The new coach is working on his National Coaching Certification Program with a level two completion set for this year.

Athletic Director Francois Fournier says Lloyd has proven himself for the position and he has worked hard in his position as assistant.

He will officially take the reigns on July 1st.
