Grande Prairie looks to be getting joint government funds for affordable housing upgrades. Minister of Seniors and Housing Lori Sigurdson will be at Heritage Lodge tomorrow morning to make the announcement.
She’ll be joined by representatives of the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation and the Grande Spirit Foundation. When Sigurdson was in Grande Prairie last summer, she said the number one priority she hears from seniors is their desire to age in their own communities.
$100 million was set aside in the provincial budget for seniors housing.
