One dead in crash near Beaverlodge

The driver of a semi has been killed in a crash near Beaverlodge. Based on their initial investigation, RCMP believe the truck left the road and no other vehicles were involved.

Police were called to the scene on Highway 43 east of Beaverlodge around 5:30 p.m. Saturday. Emergency crews tried to resuscitate The 45 year old man from Edmonton, but he was declared dead at the scene.

No one else was in the vehicle. Officers are still looking into what led to the fatal collision.
