The road ban in the County of Grande Prairie will get even more strict today. The previous limit of 75 per cent axle weight will go down to 50 per cent starting at 8 a.m. This will be in effect from then until 10 p.m. every day until further notice to protect the roads during the spring thaw.
The City of Grande Prairie is also bringing in a 50 per cent axle weight ban on its gravel roads today. It will be from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily until further notice.
