Children in Grande Prairie will be looking forward to new skipping ropes and other equipment during their recesses. Jumpstart Canada and the Grande Prairie Canadian Tire have donated $25,000 in sports equipment for 10 schools in the Grande Prairie Public School District.
Riverstone Public School is one of them receiving the donation and principal Jill Burgess says it will help expand activities at recess as they are a brand new facility.
Aspen Grove, Parkside Montessori and IV Macklin Public School are among the other schools receiving the equipment. Isabel Campbell Public School, Swanavon School, Avondale School, Alexander Forbes The Academy School, and Grande Prairie Christian School will be getting a chunk of the donation as well.
The equipment is set to be delivered on Tuesday, March 14th and Thursday, March 16th.
