Grande Prairie to welcome fire chiefs, delegates from across the province

Fire Chiefs from across Alberta and northeast B.C. will be descending on Grande Prairie this weekend for their association’s 67th annual Conference and Trade Show. This year’s gathering has the theme of “Collaborating for Change”. Bill Purdy, Executive Director of the Alberta Fire Chiefs Association, explains that working together can only improve fire service across Canada.
“It means that we can get together and look at ideas and the on going evolution of things that are taking place in the Alberta Fire Services. So if we can bring some of these changes in, and collaborate those for the benefit and interest of the delegates and participants.”
The event is an opportunity for those in charge to take part in live fire training, information session, and networking opportunities. It kicks off Friday night and runs until next Wednesday.
