RCMP say the driver of a pickup truck that smashed into a house on the north side of Grande Prairie early Friday morning had experienced a medical episode. The work truck went off the road at 132nd Avenue, blew through the fence and hit the corner of the house around 1:15 a.m.
When police got there, they figured out that the 68 year old driver from La Glace had a medical condition. He was taken to hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.
While people were inside the home at the time, none of them were hurt. Extensive damage was done to the building.
An investigation is still underway.
