Flu deaths now up to four in northern Alberta

The flu has claimed another life in northern Alberta. The fourth death of the season was recorded last week, with the provincial total now up to 47 since the end of August. Alberta Health Services doesn’t give out what community the person was from, or how old they were.

310 people in the north zone have had lab-confirmed cases of influenza A, and another seven with influenza B. 79 have had to be hospitalized because of it. More than 1.14 million doses of the vaccine have been given out to people across the province.
