This Friday is the nomination deadline for a pair of contests offered by the city. The Good Neighbours award allows residents to recognize others that have gone above and beyond by either providing assistance, a service, or by just being a great citizen. Nominations can be emailed to [email protected]. Friday is also the deadline for the Municipal Government Day Youth Art Contest. The theme is 100 Years Young, with youth up to and including grade 12’s encouraged to various forms of art to either recognize Grande Prairie’s history or potential future. Entries can be either dropped off at city hall, or emailed to [email protected]. Winners in both contests will be recognized during Municipal Government day on June 11th at Muskoseepi Park.
