After some snow accumulation over the weekend, parking bans have been declared for snow routes around Grande Prairie. There was 8.2 centimetres of snow from Friday to Sunday.
The bans will be for all permanent snow routes starting Tuesday, February 28th. Transportation Services Manager Robert Carroll says vehicles need to be moved from the roads to make for faster removal.
Bus routes, 100th Street, 68th Avenue, Resources Road, and Highway 40/Wapiti Road are all included in the parking ban. They are in place from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm on weekdays.
