Anti-bullying highlighted during Pink Shirt Day

You may notice a sea of pink shirts across the region on Wednesday February 22nd as people take a stand against bullying. Pink Shirt Day’s campaign this year is “make nice” reminding everyone to be kind to one another.

In hopes to end bullying, school districts will be joining in the cause with Peace Wapiti Academy posting a school-wide challenge for the pinkest class. Beaverlodge Regional High School will be holding team-building exercises for the day as well.

A first will be held for the Grande Prairie Public School as Isabel Campbell School celebrates their first Pink Shirt Day.

Grande Prairie and District Catholic Schools are asking everyone to join in on wearing pink to show their support.
