Driver found dead in Highway 2 crash

Someone has died in a crash near Pouce Coupe but police don’t know when it happened. Officers from Dawson Creek came across a vehicle in the ditch on Highway 2 south of the village just before 10 a.m. Sunday.

The mounties were coming back from an unrelated call when they saw the silver Jeep Grand Cherokee down an embankment. The driver of the vehicle was already dead and no one else was around.

Because the fatal crash wasn’t reported, RCMP can’t figure out when it happened. Anyone who saw this vehicle before the collision or who may have any information about it is asked to contact the Dawson Creek detachment or Crime Stoppers.
