A Peace Regional RCMP officer will be going to trial for assault. It’s alleged that Corporal Mark Potts assaulted a prisoner while transporting him from Manning to Peace River in mid-April. A fellow officer reported Potts on April 20th.
The Mountie is to stay off-duty until his charge is dealt with. Potts will appear in Peace River court on August 22nd and 23rd for his trial.
