Fort St. John financial institution held up again

A financial institution in Fort St. John has been robbed for the second time in four months. A man armed with what looked like a Defender shotgun held up the building just after 2:15 p.m. Tuesday. Despite a perimeter set up by police, the suspect wasn’t found.

The man was wearing a high visibility orange vest and blue hard hat, and a black balaclava over his face. He also had on a blue hoodie, blue jeans, black shoes and black gloves. He’s described as between 5’8″ and 6’0″. Anyone who may have seen him in the area at the time is asked to contact RCMP.

There are no banks in that block of 100 Street, but there is a payday loan business. The same one was also hit up by an armed and masked man back on October 27th, 2016. The Scotiabank three blocks away has also been robbed twice since September.
