Some of the speed limits in Clairmont will be changing. The County of Grande Prairie does an annual scan to see if anything doesn’t make sense, and council approved several adjustments earlier this week.
The speed limit will be going up in two spot: from 50 to 60 kilometres an hour on 102nd Street and 156th Avenue and 107th Street south of 79th Avenue.
It will drop from 80 to 60 in three others, including 101st Street and 163rd Avenue, Range Road 62 from 70th Avenue to 84th, and from there on 70th to 104th Street. Elsewhere, Township Road 704A south of Wapiti Estates will also be reduced from 80 to 60 kilometres an hour.
County CAO Bill Rogan says these spots were all anomalies and are just changing to reflect the zones on either side. Signage will be switched.
