Utility fees to go up March 1st

You will see a price increase on your utility bill this April. As of March 1st, Aquatera has increased their water and waste water charges by 2.3 to 2.4 per cent. This will mean an average household will spend about $1.50 more on their bill a month.

Meanwhile, Aquatera garbage collection and recycling fees will go down by 2 per cent. This will mean a $0.61 per month total reduction in 2017.

The minimum tipping fee at the landfill will be maintained at the current rate of $95.00/tonne.

After a full review of the 2016 Utility Bylaw, the change will come into effect on March 1st. Residents will not see the change until the following month.
